The world is undergoing rapid changes in the knowledge landscape. The New Education Policy is transforming India and has indeed propelled the advancement of school and higher education noticeable ahead by officially bringing in desired sweeping changes in the vital areas of the school’s education system. The changes had been much awaited and was in fact long due.
Re-structuring the classes is one interesting change introduced by NEP 2020. By pitching in for the 5+3+3+4 years design corresponding to the age groups 3-8 years in the 5 years foundational stage, 8-11 years for the 3 years of preparatory, 11-14 years for the 3 years middle, and 14-18 years for the 4 years of secondary, the NEP 2020 has made significant shift from the 1986 policy.
NEP’s focus on play school in delhi for children of ages 3 to 5 is the most appreciable move, cheered by many. Prudence has always felt the need for this and have been already well equipped with early childhood units providing quality education.
Prudence Schools have always aimed at optimizing learning and focussed on the developmental and learning needs of the students. We have been in the true spirit practising the progressive child-centred school education system. It echoes not just in our vision, mission, all essential policy statements of the school but is in the very spirit and soul of our school with every team member working with this as the guiding principle of the school.
With all the efforts being made by every team member who are strongly motivated and guided with the right policies and principles, students here are engaged in hybrid pedagogy which is joyous, fun filled intriguing hands-on experience. Our school from the very beginning has been consciously moving away from traditional rote-learning method to ‘learn for real understanding’ , ‘learning how to learn’ , ‘experiential learning’ , ‘creative and critical thinking’ as reiterated by NEP 2020.
We want our children to be filled not just with content but rather they be fully equipped with the new age skills – the 21st century skills of good communication and good connect with their inner selves and world at large. We believe in giving wholesome and quality education so that they develop holistically.
Our classroom sizes being not very large, no child is ignored at any stage. Every child is very actively engaged. In our classrooms, a child is not just a number, none can fall through the gaps as no child is left behind, no one sits on the edges and just observe. Every child is drawn to actively participate and be involved. Our teachers are not just experienced and qualified but very passionate, enthusiastic and effective who observe the growth and development of every child.
We are well known for our honest and transparent communication which we maintain with every parent in our fold. Every small and big event that happens in school related to the child are usually recorded, compiled and shared with the parents concerned through various medium. We are also connected with the schools and communities around as we love to share the good work, we are engaged in.
Our faculty is very important and they are extremely empowered and very much action and research oriented. Management is always there giving the school the rock support and facilitate every operation that propels the school’s progress in the right direction. We have the culture of Research Training and Collaboration. Our Schools are learning hubs. As we practise the culture of learning and sharing – collegiality, the teachers are upscaling the skills constantly working in tandem, in collaboration with one another.
Schools are usually very good at delivering by taking classes but now not just content delivery, syllabus completion and assessments held important or the only thing in teaching. It is not just the inputs the teachers make but what outcome the students are able to show. Connect, Community and Care have become more important and that is what our teachers have always practised.
We have on platter a blended and hybrid pedagogy virtual and face to face, synchronous and asynchronous method of teaching learning systems.
Here, you find a perfect balance between the curriculum, co-curricular and extracurricular activities without any doubt.
Nonetheless, we have “miles to go before we sleep” as Robert Frost echoes in his poem. The onus of implementing New Education Policy with all sincerity lies with each one of us as every one of us definitely want to do justice to our children and give the best for their future, ultimately lead to the transformation of India.
