“A drop of water is worth more than a sack of gold to a thirsty man”
Students of Grade 2, Prudence, Ashok Vihar decided to share these words of wisdom through a well conducted assembly on ‘Save Water’.
The assembly focussed on sharing the importance of saving water - one of the mother earth’s most significant resources which need our immediate attention. Easy availability of water has made us careless, undermining its significance and resulting in its wastage.
Through a mesmerising mime act, they demonstrated how a normal household wastes thousands of litres of water without realising that it would need years to reproduce the same quantity through natural processes.
They also shared how water usage must be optimized to ensure its availability for future generations.
It was indeed an edifying assembly. To end the assembly our children sang a song and appealed everyone to contribute their bit to save water.
