Lohri Celebration at Prudence Dwarka 22
Lohri festival is a way to spread joy of seeing the sparkling pearls of rabi crops amidst traditional folk songs, dance and food.
The students of Prudence School, Dwarka 22 celebrated Lohri with a lot of exuberance and fanfare. They all pledged to celebrate 'A Smoke Free Lohri' by not lighting up the bonfire and keeping the environment free from Air Pollution. The mood of the campus was upbeat and the students were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. The celebration started with an insightful speech sharing the significance of the festival which ushers in the cheerful spring season bidding adieu to the dull winter. The children had a gala time as they danced, offered prayers, tossed sweets, peanuts and popcorn. The students and teachers assembled together and sang songs immersed in rich cultural folklore of Punjab. An excellent initiative of Smoke Free Lohri excited one and all and everyone together prayed for happiness and fulfillment!
