Patriotism is a feeling which rules every Indian's heart irrespective of caste, religion or creed.
In an attempt to blend patriotism beautifully with enjoyment, an excursion was planned for the students of Grade IX and X. They were taken to PVR Cinemas to watch the most talked about movie "URI-The Surgical Strike" which is based on a real operation conducted by the Indian Army.
This gave an opportunity to the students and teachers to witness the valour, passion, dedication and discernment of our armed forces which makes the life of a common man so comfortable.
Many sacrifices are done by Indian Army to safeguard the honour of our country. Most of the times these sacrifices remain unnoticed by common people.
This excursion was an effort made by the Prudence School to make students realize the sacrifices made by Indian Army and selflessness of their families who send them to the Defence forces.
A beautiful amalgamation of emotions and courage was portrayed in the movie by the Director Aditya Dhar which left the audience filled with pride for their nation.
The students also understood that different departments like DRDO, IB, Army and Airforce work in an integrated manner to accomplish the various tasks required to maintain peace and protect our borders.
The excursion was worth remembering and it definitely had a positive impact on students. We hope that movie must have inspired a few students to join Indian Army and serve the Nation.
