Spring is nature's way of saying, 'Let's Party!'¦¦..

Since the chilling air of winter has changed into soothing cold breeze, here comes the spring season known as ˜Basant' or ˜Vasant Panchmi'. The festival is celebrated on the fifth (5th) day of the month of ˜Magh', marks the end of winter season and welcomes the arrival of ˜Spring Season'. It is strongly believed that ˜Vasant Panchmi' is a pious day to start any new work. This festival is associated with Yellow Colour, the colour of mustard flowers that bloom during this season. It is also celebrated to worship ˜Goddess Saraswati', the symbol of knowledge and wisdom.
To celebrate this virtuous festival with heaps of fervor and excitement, the students of Prudence Dwarka 16b of Prep-C, Grade 5 and Grade IX-X conducted a special assembly on ˜Basant Panchmi'. The assembly commenced with an invocation to the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom, post which an informative discussion through a skit was initiated by the students on the significance of the festival and why do we worship Goddess Saraswati. It was followed by the mesmerizing dance performance which filled the audience with energy. This day was celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm.
