Assembly and a drill on Road Safety Rules (Grade I & II)
"Think of future, be alert, think
before making a fatal mistake
The young generation is the most vulnerable group towards road accidents, minor or major injuries because of the lack of adult supervision, therefore, the Road Safety Education at schools becomes an issue of paramount importance.
To generate alertness amongst students about the road safety rules and measures in their early ages, an assembly followed by the drill was conducted at Prudence School Dwarka 22 by the students of Grade I, and II.
Road safety measures are the tools that can save from the expensive traffic fines by wearing seat belts and helmet, avoiding the usage of cell-phone or other electronic devices while driving, follow the traffic rules and drive safely, avoid rash driving and jumping red lights. Students allured the audience by speaking significantly about the rules of walking on the road like proper use of crosswalks, use of zebra crossing, speed of the vehicles should be within the speed limit and slow especially in the areas of the school, hospital, residential area, etc.
Smiling, playing and riding all the way, the children acquired a very serious lesson of life through a communicative video. Students held the placards in hand demonstrating numerous safety measures while walking and driving on road.
They gathered information provided about the traffic rules by this cognizant assembly which was followed by the drill in the school campus with a hope that as they grow up, they should possess good attitudes and skills first as pedestrians and cyclists, and then, as drivers when they start driving.
